Notes in the sky

Culture and heritage were in perfect harmony for a concert inside Jumbo’s huge water tank.

The brilliant team from the legendary Roman River Music Festival held an event on the final day of their season inside Jumbo, marking an exciting first for the Victorian landmark.

Three concerts of music and poetry entitled Notes In The Sky were performed for delighted audiences who came from across the city and beyond. Festival founder and cellist Orlando Jopling was joined by Art Roberts from Colchester Arts Centre who recited poetry.

Colchester MP Pam Cox said:

“This was a very memorable occasion in a very special setting. Anthony and Orlando are two of Colchester’s best loved cultural creators and they made a brilliant double act.”
