Mayor and Mayoress visit Jumbo

North Essex Heritage were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Colchester, Councillor Tim Young, Mayoress Nicola Goodchild and their guests for a visit as part of Jumbo Summer 2022.

The Mayor of Colchester said:

“It was a wonderful experience to be given a tour of Jumbo. It had been a long-cherished ambition for many of our party to see inside the water tower. The views from the top are simply stunning and spectacular. I am in full support of the plans and vision that North Essex Heritage have for Jumbo and wish them well for the future. Colchester’s most iconic landmark must be preserved for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.”
